Ms. Stephanie Koch serves as the Deputy Director for the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command DEVCOM Analysis Center (DAC). DAC’s mission is to inform Army transformation and readiness decisions across the system’s life cycle through objective integrated systems-level Analysis, and develop credible Data and Analytic Tools.
In this role, she provides leadership and oversight for talent management, technical program planning and execution, strategic initiatives and communications, and shapes DAC’s corporate strategy. She manages, supervises, and oversees a workforce comprised of approximately 500 DA civilians, six military, and over 160 contractors.
Ms. Koch began her defense career in 2002 as a student intern at the currently named DEVCOM Analysis Center. She assisted in the vulnerability modeling and simulation of rotary winged systems. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mathematics from Franklin and Marshall College, Ms. Koch spent five years at the U.S. Army Evaluation Center in the Survivability Directorate, serving as the lead Live Fire evaluator for various tactical wheeled vehicle systems and as the team leader of the rapid initiative team during Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
In 2009, Ms. Koch received her master’s in business administration from the University of Delaware. After which, she transitioned to the Office of the Secretary of Defense where she worked for the Director, Live Fire Test and Evaluation, serving as the Action Officer for various land, air, and sea weapon and survivability platforms.
Ms. Koch previously served as the Associate Director, DEVCOM Army Research Laboratory, Weapons and Materials Research Directorate. She also led the Army’s Advance manufacturing, Materials and Processes Consortium and served as a second-line supervisor to the Directorate’s operations, finance, and personnel offices.
Ms. Koch supported the Army Futures Command Human Capital office as the Lead of the Leader Professional Development Program, and she served as an advisor to the campaign plan’s “Unleash Talent” line of effort.
She is married to Dr. Justin T. Koch, who is an Emergency Medicine physician. They have two
sons, Cooper and Gibson, and two dogs, Finn and Max.
