Ms. Jaime Howard serves as the Chief Analyst for the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development
Command (DEVCOM) Analysis Center (DAC). In this position, she provides strategic direction to shape DAC’s analytic priorities, investment in needed foundational capabilities, and ensure technical quality of DAC’s analyses. The Chief Analyst also serves as an external representative for collaboration with other analytic organizations.
Prior to serving in this position, Ms. Howard served as the Chief of the Combat Simulation and Geospatial Branch in DAC from 2016 – 2021, overseeing methodology development and analyses that provide operational context to system performance. From 2012-2016, She led the Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Analysis Team, which conducted various types of analyses to inform decisions on joint CBRN programs. Ms. Howard started her career serving as an analyst in AMSAA’s (now DAC) Joint Data Branch, supporting the mission to provide system-level performance data to support Army analyses, as well as the Joint Technical Coordinating Group for Munitions Effectiveness (JTCG/ME) mission to provide munitions effectiveness data to Warfighters in support of Current Operations. In addition to these assignments, her acting and/or developmental assignments have included Army Futures Command Detailed Design Team (2018), Acting Chief, Artillery and Aviation Branch (2016), Acting Lead, Intelligence and Fusion Team (2011 2012), Reliability Analyst (2011), Vulnerability Analyst at the Army Research Laboratory (ARL) Survivability and Lethality Analysis Director (SLAD) (now DAC) (2009-2010), and the Army Materiel Management Strategy Study Team for Army Materiel Command Headquarters (2009).
Ms. Howard earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics from Loyola College of Maryland in 2003 and a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics from Johns Hopkins University in 2006.
While working at DEVCOM DAC, she obtained Level 3 Certification in Engineering through the Army Acquisition Corps in 2012 and completed the APG Leadership Cohort Program in 2018, among other technical and leadership training.
She is a resident of Bel Air, where she lives with her husband and their two sons.
